I use the tools of the Ayurvedic.
Sanskrit for "the Science of Life"
to help me radiate my inner glow.

Slowly I have been learning about the self care my body needs.

I have been learning about living in harmony with the natural laws of the universe.

I have been learning about living in balance.

In the Ayurveda way I honor my natural preferences and tendancies.

I am learning my Dosha.

Thank you for the link. It's time for me to look into this, again.

I used to listen to Deepak's tapes. If I 'tell all,' his voice could put me to sleep, better than any counting sheep. :-) There is something about the low pitch of it, or something. I simply fall asleep, like a baby being rocked by her mother. :-)

Dear Mari-Nanci,
I enjoy the traditions of Ayurveda.
So very beautiful. Very different from my upbringing too. I try to add at least one new daily care from the traditon every year. This year I am working on daily self massage. I have a beautiful bottle to store my oils in and will place it on a mirror tray in the master bath. Hopefully I will see it every morning and remember to do my self care.
Deepak is a treasure of wisdom. His spiritual knowingness is amazing. I too can listen and relax and fall asleep in his voice. I figure part of me is absorbing his words of wisdom.

Dearest Sherry,

This is very enjoyable to revisit for me too. I used to be a Pitta, and now the test told me I was a Vata and a Kapha. I'm a bit confused.

I think I will wait a day or two and take the test again, it was really fun.

I like that they added in the Mind as a grouping. I so believe in the Body / Mind / Spirit connection.

A wonderful walk with you, into Beauty. Thank you.

Much Love,

Dear Sprite,
The test "online" to find out your dosha is a little bit different than the one in my book. I took both and I am a Vata and a Kappa too. Almost exactly even!
It felt right as I was learning about the different types of oils and herbs that work best for me. I did get some nice organic seaseme oil and have made my herb mix and my infusion. My oil is going to be the oil I use for my nails and my body. I need to remember to use my oil every morning now! I set the cuticle oil on my desk. If I see it I will be reminded to use it.
I read this morning, part of a weight loss plan includes eating an apple before a meal. I forget about having my apple every day. It would be easy to remember if I ate my apple when I started to fix dinner.
Taking care of my body is an on going learning process. Learning together is very nice.
Thank you for joining with me in the "mind, body and spirit" experience of this walk, this adventure.
We are beauty.
We are the expression of love.
