Wren and Swan

I am enjoying this book!

I was astounded when I read that those born under the sun sign, Capricorn, which is an earth sign, have an affinity with the Wren. My sun sign is Capricorn and I love the little Carolina Wren.

My moon sign is Cancer. I read that the Swan is the bird associated with the moon and with water and Cancer. Everything I read about these two birds and their meanings applies to me.

A pair of Wrens live in my backyard. I see them often. I have learned from the Wrens.
The Swans live far away from me. I must travel to see them.
Like my Moon sign I must travel inward to know my grace and to honor my sensitivity.

If you don't mind, what bird is for Pisces? I don't know what my moon sign is? Never heard of it. But Carolina Wren is a good one for. Sound like a good book, might check in out later.

Dear Cathy,
I am so happy you asked!
I was hoping to share all the different signs.
Pisces is The Owl
Pisces is a water sign.

"Owl people are often well read, interested in a wide varieity of subjects,....predilection for writing...strong sense of the poetic...
symbolic of wisdom...vivid imagination....
The Owl's Nest,
prevalance of books...
Work,
tremendous creative powers, versatile, can turn a passion into a way of making a living."

There is more but I wanted to give you a taste...

I had a astrology reading done last year and learned about my moon sign. Since I am new to astrology I decided to take it slow and learn one thing at a time. Moon sign is a nice balance and for me has a greater influence than my sun sign.
It is fun and nice to know all these olde ways.

Dear Sherry,

This book sounds wonderful! I love the photos, especially Trumpeter Swan. It fills me with peace.

Ooo, I too am Capricorn, and my moon is in Virgo. I would love to know about my "moon bird."

You wrote:

I just LOVE that!

You are 'Grace' embodied, my friend.

Much love,

Dear Cathy,
Oh good! I think you will enjoy this book. I saw it was offered on Amazon used for $12. I will add mine to my reference library.
When I read about Pisces I immediately thought of you!
If you ever get a chance to have an Astrology chart done I think you would enjoy it. I use it more as a way of connecting to the ways I do not know about. Just knowing about the moon sign has opened a door for me. The connection is very nice.
Oh good! A new poem. I just love to read your poetry. I will pop over.

Dear Sprite,
We share the Wren! I was so shocked and pleased to read about the Wren.
Let's see, Virgo...
The Dove...is a sacred bird..
represents love, purity, simplicity.
Dove is often used in literature to mean woman..the Dove is the epitome of femininity...
Doves are fantastic in emergencies...are tidy and organized...happy to make do and mend things...abhorrence of waste..modest needs..never take more than she really requires..
natural sense of the aesthetic,
wide range of interests..loves to help others... tends to shy away from large gatherings, perferring to have a few close friends around the table...
If you get a chance to get this book I think you would enjoy it!
This is so much fun.
Lots of love,
Sherry

Beautiful photos, Q! My birth sign is Aquarius...do you know what bird I am?

Kate

Q said...

Dear Kate,
Thank you!
I do know Aquarius's bird. This is so fun!
okay...
Aquarius, The Seagull...
element air,
the bird of the inventor, the inspirer, infinitly adaptable and the navigator.
interests in the sea, ships, travel
inspires in a modest way often anonymous,
as a friend goes out of their way to make people feel at ease and loves to help people.
infinitely resourceful, loves to travel,...
deep thinker, sensitive,
love of outdoors, keen interest in the garden, thrives in wide open spaces, original thinker, needs personal freedom, romantic...
occasional bouts of 'away with the fairies'.
sees the good in every situation, power of eidetic vision, (thoughts become reality)....
The Seagull is a beautiful bird!
Just like you!

Oh and I thought the moon sign and etc., were in the book. But now, I don't think so.

So ~ please ~ my sign is Aries. Well, I'm on the cusp of Pisces and Aries. Felt very Pisces, when younger. Feel very Aries, when older. :-)

Please may I know my Aries bird and moon sign? Thank you.

Dear Mari-Nanci,
Thank you..this is so fun. It is as if a group of us are sitting in the palor having tea and cakes. We are looking in the book together... okay...
Aries.. The Hummingbird
element fire..
straightforward, know what they want, truthful, candour, charming...good problem solvers, like action, likes to win, likes to offer its best effort..
can be impatient, generous friend,
retain youthful look and aura as they age...youthful attitude and invigorating energy...
common sense .. forward thinking and resourceful..lives in the present, in the moment...does not like to be bored...
fun to be with, enthusiatic, funny, their all-embracing attitude to life is an incredibly inspiring aspect of their character.
Your moon sign is different from your sun sign. It is where the moon was at he time you were born. So you need to know day, year, time of birth and location. Location will help tell where the moon was. I do not know how to figure all of that out. I had a chart done last year and I am just learning about moon signs.
Sprite, who comes to Walking in Beauty, would know more about moon signs than I. We can ask her if anyone is interested.
Hope you love the Hummingbird as much as she loves you!

Oh yes, would you please? I'd ask myself but her name leads to no click-able link.

I have the month, day, year. But I don't think I know what time of day/night, I was born...

But I do love the moon, and it would be nice to know my moon sign.

Yes, I love Hummingbirds. :-) We don't see that many but they are precious.

Dear Sherry and all,

This is a very fun participation post. I like it! If you will, just send me the posts of anyone who wants to know, and I will respond.

I am happy to tell anyone your moon sign if you give me your month, date of birth, city, state, and country you were born in.

Blessings to all,

Dear Mari-Nanci,
You are very welcome. This is fun!
I am so pleased to know my birds. Being a bird lover and all! I wonder if there is "butterfly and Astrology"?
I will pass your comment on to Sprite. She is a sweetie. I think she would create a wonderful blog...

Thanks for bringing this book to my attention! I think I'd really enjoy it, too. I'm a Virgo - Dove, right?

Dear Kylee,
Yes, Virgo is the Dove.
I have many in the backyard!
My son is a Virgo. He is a peaceful man. I feel very comfortable around the Dove.
This is fun.

How fascinating. This book sounds wonderful. My sign is Capricorn, and my son's sign is Cancer but it would be interesting to find out our moon signs :-} I will look for this book too.

Q said...

Dear Deb,
We share the Wren! Wren people, the book says, are down to earth folk and tend to be practical...we tend to make do and mend...thrifty by nature and generous...my favorite line is, "seems to surrounded bt fairy-dust, as though they are from another world."
Cancer is the Swan. They have a soft centre and can easily be hurt but do not show it...
have fantastic powers of imagination..excellent memories...likes to collect things,
natural need to protect and nurture.
I do hope you find this book.
Learning your moon sign is a little bit more involved. I have put my e-mail on my profile page. If you send your information I will get it to sprite. She knows how to figure it out.

This seems unusual.... I too am Capricorn... look how many of us there are here.

Once had my horoscope cast by a professional...it was so long ago I can't really remember, but think my rising sign was Jupiter...it was all Saturnian anyway...

Anyway... know I am earth and love all things nature...love your little wren pic.... so sweet.

Dear Bumblevee,
It is fun to learn about the different sun signs and moon signs. I was very tickled when I read the wren was the bird for Capricorn since I have a wren friend!
The Swan is very special to me. Last summer while in B.C. Canada a swan gave me a feather!
I am so excited you have found my blogs. Nice to meet you.
I will read your journals too.
Namaste,
Sherry
