Peonies

Two of the older neighbors, that are gone now,
once were gardeners.

I checked on their peonies this morning.

They held up well through the weekend rains.

I visited with another neighbor.
She still has children at home.
Her passion is gardening.

She said she was going to divide these peonies.
I asked for a slip. I will find a spot to grow one of her peonies.
Just in case.
We never know.
It has been too many years since I asked for a slip.

Most gardeners like to share their bounty. I think you should ask. Beautiful peonies.

Dear Mari-Nanci,
I wish I had a slip of my old neighbor's peonies and one from my Grandmother's bushes.
If my neighbor would move I would not have slip. If something would happen to her beautiful bush I would have some to share back.
She did offer a slip too!

Dear Cathy,
Thank you. I have lots more too!
The Tiki Pink Peonies opened today. They are very pretty.
Peonies are my flower for 2008!

Dear Lisa,
It has been so many years since I have asked any gardener for a slip!
I am interested in the gardens again.
