The thundershowers left an inch of rain this morning.
When I saw a break in the clouds I put my walking shoes on.
It has been over a week since I was able to walk in the daytime.
The apple tree in my neighbor's yard is filled with ripening apples. When I saw a break in the clouds I put my walking shoes on.
It has been over a week since I was able to walk in the daytime.
Many have fallen to the ground.
I see deer scat so I know the deer are having a nice treat.
The Osage Orange trees are full of fruit.
I call them Hedge Apples.
The Walnut trees are also full of fruit!
The nuts are ripening and some have already fallen to the ground.
The berries are turning bright orange.
I walked with long sleeves and a quick step.
A cold front has moved in and with it more showers.
Autumn is early.

Oh, I love your bright red berries! And the funny orange that you call hedge apples. I don't think I've ever seen walnuts on the trees before. Thanks for the wonderful pics!
Sherry, I'm hearing of Autumn all around. There are signs here, although it's 90 degrees. The annuals are dying and I saw Goldenrod...
I'm ready to wear socks.
oh how wonderful is autumn. all the new and wonderful things that bloom and grow during this season.
beautiful images of all.
Dear Wendy,
Every year I watch my neighbor's bush produce these fantastic berries. I do not know what the bush is but I do think it is lovely!
The skin on the walnuts will turn black and then all the walnuts will fall to the ground. That is if the squirrels leave any!
I did enjoy walking with my camera. My husband and I walk in the evenings but I seldom take pictures! My daytime walk is always fun.
Thanks for walking with.
Namaste,
Sherry
Dear Mary,
Socks are good! I am in socks and sleeves already.
The goldenrod in my backyard is in full bloom and covered in Soldier Bugs. The crab apples are red and the ivy is starting to turn.
We have rain coming in for the next four days...I will stay dry and get my clothes all switched around. I do not think 90 degees will come again to my house for a very long time.
Glad you got some rain!
Sherry
Dear Marmee,
Autumn is a beautiful time of year. I love watching the leaves turn and all the berries and nuts and fruits are so fantastic. It is apple time too...
I love Autumn.

Being a gardener in a 4-season climate, I always hate to see summer end. But your gorgeous pictures have reminded me of the joys and beauties of autumn. My granddaughter will be with me this weekend, and I will enjoy sharing the colors and textures of the season with her. I hope our Bobwhites haven't gone south yet--they are such a delight bobbling about, in and out of my garden, calling to each other.
Dear Flutterby,
The Autumn garden is always charming. September for me is all about Apples...my husband and I will go apple-ing...in search of all sorts of items that are made from apples. We love cider and applesauce and apple donuts and apple cobblers. Enjoy your granddaughter and Autumn.

Dear Beautiful One,
I have been Walking In Beauty, quietly with you... though you know, just saying it louder than a whisper.
