Wild Asters

After the morning shower
I went walking down the street.

Small stands of wild asters greeted me.
They were tucked here and there in my neighbors yards.

The morning was cloudy and cool.

The asters provided food for the hover flies,
honey bees

and skippers.
The little wild asters are charming.

Dearest One,

The asters are really pretty. I am so happy that you are still walking about in the beauty of nature. I think of you daily, as I do my inner walkabouts. I'm thinking of you today with fondness and happy New Moonness, hehe.

Love love love,

Dear Sprite,
I often "see" you while I am walking, I feel your spirit and hear your voice.
We walk together.
My husband and I still walk most evenings too.

New Moon magic!
New Moon glow!

Love and light,
Sherry

Those are great photos of bees! (I like the Asters, too.) I always find it funny when bees have a huge wad of pollen on them like the ones in your photos.

Those white asters are so delicately beautiful and yet colorful in their centers. I'm glad to see you still have honeybees there.

Dear Mr. McGrevor's Daughter,
I too enjoy watching the bees when their pollen sacks are full. I have seen bees so full of pollen they have a hard time flying.
Wild Asters are so pretty.

Dear Walk2write,
The asters are a pale lavender. In the sun they do look almost white.
It is still warm in the afternoons here. The bees take awhile to wake up but once they do they are buzzing about. I know my bee days are slowly coming to a close for 2008.
