Nature Center

I drove to the Nature Center to walk today.
I wanted to see what was in bloom in the natural landscape.

The Goldenrod is attracting bees and

wasps.

I am trying to identify a tall white blooming
wildflower I see near the highways and in the wild places.

There was some growing near the Nature Center too.
Still no idea what it is.
These large flower flies were enjoying the blooms.

Dear Marmee,
Lisa, at Greenbow, also has fields of them growing where she and her husband go birding. We must find out what they are!
Thank you for the compliment. I thought the pictures turned out niecly today.
Thank you for walking and loving nature!

You take such wonderful photos! Do you have any pictures of the flowers from a few feet away? It might be easier to identify them if one has a wider perspective of them.

What beautiful photos! Taking the time to really look at these insects, one can see their beauty. Thanks for sharing!

Dear Walk2write,
Good idea. I did not take any farther away pics but I can go back. I see this white flower now all over. It must come into bloom in September.

Dear Mary,
I am looking forward to getting the macro lens, it is on order. As it is I zoom in as close as I can.
Bugs are incredible.

I wish I had taken a closeup of the flowers of Indian Plantain. Your wildflower could also be a Eupatorium, which is shorter than the Indian Plaintain.

Dear Mr. McGregor's Daughter,
I now see this white wild flower all the time.
I too wish I knew what it is called. I am thinking it might be White Snakeroot. I am not 100% sure.
