In search of berries

I walked up to the woods this morning.
I put the macro lens on the camera.
I was searching for berries.

Right as I walked into the woods I saw a Brown Creeper.
I wished I had the telephoto lens!
Nice to know they are near by.

A flock of Robins fluttered about.
I was rather pleased to get this good of a photograph with the macro!
Finally berries!

The walk was good!
Next time I will bring the long lens!

I enjoyed walking with you. Great to see the different birds in Kansas, and you have captured them so well with your great photography. I especially liked the berries in the last shot with the white 'covers' above them. All of these are new to me.

We are off to Paris for a little break now after all the catastrophes of the past four months. Happy Christmas. See you in 2009 :)

Are those berries on a dogwood tree? I am curious. Great shots even without the telephoto. Hope you have a great weekend, and please stay warm!

The berries are lovely and so are the robin and brown creeper! I would love to have an opportunity for that creeper. I had one once and got terrible shots because it was too far away.

Dear Walk2write,
These berries were in the woods, but I think they are wild honeysuckle.
I just laughed when I saw the birds...I think the photos are okay considering they were taken with a macro lens! LOL
We are to have a storm blow in tomorrow and temps are to drop...
I have plans to bake cookies.

Dear Mary,
Thank you! I hope the Brown Creeper stays around. Next time I go walking in the woods I will take the long lens!
I did get tickled...ususlly I walk with a 18x-200x lens I could have gotten some great photographs if I had just done my normal!
Your photographs are very nice of the birds in your area.
I post my backyard birds on my main blog, Q's Corner.
It is such a pleasure gettting to know you.

Dear Marmee,
The macro of the pinecones was a experiment. I like it too. I think the berries are wild honeysuckle.
Thank you for walking with.

Your berries are beautiful and do look the twinning found in the Honeysuckles. It's fun to find the beauty left over from the summer months.

Dear Natural Moments,
I also enjoy the winter gardens and woods.
The wild berries are so lovely.
I did not get to do very much walking this past week because of the weather. I miss it!
Maybe next week I will be ut again.
Hope you have a Happy Christmas.

I love the pinecone picture - well all of them, really. But the pinecones are wonderful. Thanks so much for all of your pictures and for inviting us along on your walks.

Happy Holidays!
