Walking in April

I grabbed my pink hat.

I uncrossed my ankles.

I went walking down the street.

I was looking for pink!

The ice and snow damaged the Magnolia blooms.

A Robin walked with me.

Some branches were broken in my neighbor's yard.
We also had broken branches from the ice and snow.
The Bradford Pears are in bloom.

My neighbor's daffodils are inspiring me.

I shall try to sketch them.

The Gold Finches were on the feeder when I returned home.
They are in full molt.

Showers are in the forecast.
April showers.

How would you describe the aroma of April's showers? I love your descriptive method, so simple and sweet. I have a feeling though, you could write much more should the need arise. ;~)

You certainly are aware of what is giving birth around you. Happy Spring.

Sherry, I love the colours of those daffodils! And the ruffles and soft shadows! I know you can only take credit for the last of those items, but it is spring! Good luck with trying to sketch them!
I have never seen a goldfinch in molt before. He looks funny, but I will not laugh at him where he can hear me! I don't want to embarrass him.

Dear TC,
April's showers are sweet and cool.
The smell of hyacinth drifts down the sidewalk and mingles with the woodfire's smoke. I smell the joy of green.
I could write many words....

Dear Bernie,
Spring is popping out all over!
I am happy to be walking again! My body needs it.

Dear Judy,
I have white daffodils growing in my yard but I was wowed by the way the light played on the one's in my neighbor's yard. I am just learning to sketch and do water colors. The daffodils look so pretty I think I could at least try to draw them!
The male Gold Finch does look funny. His molting lets me know it really is Spring even though I just heard a forecast for snow on Saturday!

I love that pink hat (Easter bonnet?). The molting bird makes me think of all the bright red spring visitors to FL who will be molting soon. Hope your snow is a light one if it falls.

Dear Walk2write,
My pink hat is an April accessory!
I enjoy having different hats each month. The cold and snows are just part of April in my area. I am longing for warmth...still freezing at night. Thank goodness so many of the flowers are hardy.
Happy Easter,
Sherry

Dear Spookydragonfly,
I just love hats. They lift my spirits.
Spring is waiting for sunnier days at my house. I am wanting to plant lettuce seed but it is too cold and wet!
Happy Easter,
Sherry
