Wave of sadness

While dusting the bedroom this morning a wave of sadness came over me.
I laid my dust cloth down.
I fixed a glass of water and sat on the couch.
I sat with the sadness.

There could be 1,001 reasons I felt sad. No apparent reason.
I did not need to know why. I just needed to honor the feeling.
After ten minutes of following my breath I put on my coat and went outside.

Somewhere someone is crying.
Somewhere someone feels sad.
I shared in the sadness for ten minutes.
I hope the sharing gave comfort.
Back to dusting.

Dear Chris,
Thank you for your kind words.
I am like this. For no apparent reason I sometimes have a wave of sadness. A disruption in the force! Years ago I would try and figure out why. Now I just accept that sometimes I feel sad. We all feel sad sometimes. It does not mean we are not happy, it just means we feel sad. There is a certain sort of joy in sadness. It means we care, we love, we are human. I honor the feelings knowing I am not my feelings but they are the sprinkles on the cupcake.
Love and blessings,
Sherry

Sherry,
I agree with you about sadness sometimes carries joy. Maybe the joy comesn from the feeling of empathy with humanity and nature as a whole?
Unlike your sadness, I exüerienced an eyquisite moment of joy and happiness, when I discovered the moon in the sky, while turning to walk home after having run around for an hour to do last minute errands. Sometimes joy, sometimes sadness, as long as the last one does not weigh constantly on our soul, both can be a blessing that comes out of the blue, with no apparent reason.
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog,
have a wonderful day,
Merisi

Dear Merisi,
It is a joy to know we are connected to each other. The waves of joy or sadness are a part of being human. I like that. I like knowing I am part of the whole. I also think it is important to honour our feelings. Not judging one feeling is good or bad, it is just a feeling. If I feel anger I can use the energy to promote change of some sort.
I loved seeing your moon photos.
I am very connected to nature. I watch the sunrise and set. The moon and the stars and the clouds are so beautiful. I love being outside with the birds and the trees.
I am working on enjoying the man-made parts of my landscape. I enjoy your journal so very much. Your city is full of beautiful man-made creations. Art in every detail. The "co-create" mankind can perform is amazing.
I look for all the ways man and nature are one. The respect man gives towards nature. The ways we, as a species, are learning and evolving.
Never worry about the typos. Here we are free to express. We use the mechanics of the keyboard to do so.
Namasta,
I see the light in you,
Sherry

Dear Bumblevee,
This winter I have been graced with lots of Cardinals. I have had 40 at one time!
I depend on them to help me tell my stories.
If I was to be a bird I would choose the female Cardinal. She just is so lovely.
I have taken thousands of pictures of the Cardinals this winter. My 500x zoom is nice for the close ups.
