into snow showers.
I sat outside with the birds for a little while.
It was very cold.
Lots of birds came to the deck.
The wind had spilled my bamboo.
A pile of white sand begged for a heart.
I sat a bowl of suet butter out for the Carolina Wren.
The wind shifted.
Cooper's Hawk came looking for lunch.
The sun came out.
I bundled up and went walking.
I have missed my daily walk.
It is so good for digestion.

How do you get such spectacular pictures of all these birds? Awesome!
What a wonderful bunch of photos! Each one is so pretty and shows such detail of each bird. The snow on them is really well captured! I like the heart :-)
Do you live in paradise, Sherry? I want to envy you but I can't. Such is the beauty of the pictures you have posted. Lovely birds and such details in which they have been captured.
Hats off. Loved them.
*cheers*
So close up and intimate. I just want to reach out and feel their beauty!
these photographs are simply stunning. i looked last night but wanted more time to really take them in. so this morning with coffee in hand, dogs at my feet, kitty by my side, i look, really look at the beauty of these images. God's handiwork makes me in awe. what mesmerizing captures.
well done my friend!
You capture the essence of each bird so well. Glad you are walking. I enjoy walking too.
Dear Tina,
I think the birds know me!
I can sit in my steamer chair on the deck and they will come and go. It took awhile for them to get used to the sounds of the new camera.
I like to think the birds come to see me but I really think they come for food!
Sherry
Dear Mary,
Thank you. You know how much fun it is to get the camera to see what you see!
Glad you enjoyed these!
Sherry
Dear Soul,
Thank you! I live in the city with a backyard habitat for birds and bugs...Keeps me sane.
Thank you for your kind words.
Namaste,
Sherry
Dear Susan,
The birds come near as long as I sit quietly.
Thank you for walking with me. I post most of my photographs on my main blog, "Q's Corner."
Here is where I take the camera walking...I was sitting on the deck with the birds when I decided to take a walk...
Sherry
Dear Marmee,
Thank you!
It just worked out that "Walking In Beauty was the best place to post this essay. I went walking after sitting on the deck. It felt so good to walk.
Thank you for your support and friendship.
Namaste,
Sherry
Dear Wendy,
Thank you!
I feel so much better when I walk every day.
If it is too windy I will stay home.
Sherry
These are all great photos Sherry. They are so crisp and clear with great light. I like the snow in the seed pod. They fit well together and bring out the beauty of winter time.
Dear Bernie,
Thank you. I walked yesterday but the wind was strong out of the nw and it was cold. I took very few photographs...
Here I was happy in the sun! It was cold but the sun and no wind makes for pleasant walking even when it is below feezing.
Sherry
Lovely post Sherry..
Sweet and soft...
wonderful photos!
I don't know how you sit outside when it is so cold. I'm sure it is worth it to get these fabulous photos, and they are FABULOUS!
My pictures might be clearer if I was outside, but I am a wimp and stay in the kitchen taking pictures through the glass doors.
I miss my walks too. Can't wait until it warms up enough to get back outside to explore and exercise.
I think someone had their paint palette out just prior to your photography...these are exquisite birds, well displayed in your pics...stunning colours...everyone a treasure :)
My friend, Shirl, is doing a Desert Island Plant Challenge on Thursday. The idea is, you choose three plants you couldn't live without on your desert island. Fancy joining in the fun? Here is her link.

Dear Dawn,
Thank you.
I was wondering, how did you put the "Etsy" logo and feature shop on your blog's side bar?
I would love to do one for my Artful Living blog.
Sherry
Dear Robin,
I started sitting out with the birds last winter and I find I just love it.
If the sun is shining and I bundle up I can stay out for 30 minutes! LOL!
I do miss walking when it is cold.
I need to walk...
Sherry

What beautiful bird photos! I get a Carolina wren at my feeder here in Iowa, I am going to put peanut butter out tomorrow. Can not wait to see if the wren goes for it.
Dear Iowa Gardening Woman,
Your Wren will love the peanutbutter. Lots of the birds do...as good as suet I think!
I shall come by and see if you were able to get photos.
Sherry
These photos tell me your a person that everyone loves, the birds visiting so close there are very few folks they will do that with. Loved the photos.
I'm into butterflies and odonates, got lots of photos on my main site www.rlephoto.com
