Snowy morning

Snow flurries turned

into snow showers.

I sat outside with the birds for a little while.
It was very cold.

Lots of birds came to the deck.

The wind had spilled my bamboo.
A pile of white sand begged for a heart.

I sat a bowl of suet butter out for the Carolina Wren.

The wind shifted.

Cooper's Hawk came looking for lunch.

The sun came out.

I bundled up and went walking.

I have missed my daily walk.
It is so good for digestion.

What a wonderful bunch of photos! Each one is so pretty and shows such detail of each bird. The snow on them is really well captured! I like the heart :-)

Do you live in paradise, Sherry? I want to envy you but I can't. Such is the beauty of the pictures you have posted. Lovely birds and such details in which they have been captured.

Hats off. Loved them.

*cheers*

Dear Tina,
I think the birds know me!
I can sit in my steamer chair on the deck and they will come and go. It took awhile for them to get used to the sounds of the new camera.
I like to think the birds come to see me but I really think they come for food!

Dear Susan,
The birds come near as long as I sit quietly.
Thank you for walking with me. I post most of my photographs on my main blog, "Q's Corner."
Here is where I take the camera walking...I was sitting on the deck with the birds when I decided to take a walk...

Dear Marmee,
Thank you!
It just worked out that "Walking In Beauty was the best place to post this essay. I went walking after sitting on the deck. It felt so good to walk.
Thank you for your support and friendship.

These are all great photos Sherry. They are so crisp and clear with great light. I like the snow in the seed pod. They fit well together and bring out the beauty of winter time.

Dear Bernie,
Thank you. I walked yesterday but the wind was strong out of the nw and it was cold. I took very few photographs...
Here I was happy in the sun! It was cold but the sun and no wind makes for pleasant walking even when it is below feezing.

I don't know how you sit outside when it is so cold. I'm sure it is worth it to get these fabulous photos, and they are FABULOUS!

My pictures might be clearer if I was outside, but I am a wimp and stay in the kitchen taking pictures through the glass doors.

I miss my walks too. Can't wait until it warms up enough to get back outside to explore and exercise.

I think someone had their paint palette out just prior to your photography...these are exquisite birds, well displayed in your pics...stunning colours...everyone a treasure :)

My friend, Shirl, is doing a Desert Island Plant Challenge on Thursday. The idea is, you choose three plants you couldn't live without on your desert island. Fancy joining in the fun? Here is her link.

Dear Dawn,
Thank you.
I was wondering, how did you put the "Etsy" logo and feature shop on your blog's side bar?
I would love to do one for my Artful Living blog.

Dear Robin,
I started sitting out with the birds last winter and I find I just love it.
If the sun is shining and I bundle up I can stay out for 30 minutes! LOL!
I do miss walking when it is cold.
I need to walk...
