I will read, think and finally release that which I have no control over.
Yet I find I still hang on to a tiny piece, an emergency backup.
I can forgive.
I am not at forget.
I am not sure if I want to forget. Perhaps I can let go of forget and do forgive.

I often reach a decision, on what to let go of.
Something I do have control over.
And then, reverse it.

Hi Mari-Nanci,
LOL....
As long as we can laugh at/with ourselves I think we will be just fine.

Dearest Sherry,
Throughout the years of my recent life, I have had the word 'surrender' come up all the time for me. Whether it be that I received and angel card of one sort or the other, or some other form of intuition.
One day after I drew the card surrender for the millionth time over 3 years or so; I began to ask: 'What is it that I need to 'Surrender' to? And does surrender mean 'giving up?'
I felt frustration, and pain within.
Suddenly, a peace washed over me.
It was as though just letting my shoulders drop, just allowing my breath to exhale, just allowing my brain to relax, my body sinking into Mother Earth. I sighed.
With that sigh, came the greatest peace I have ever known.
Surrendering became allowing for 'what is' to 'be.' And in that, to just be with it.
I surrender.
I embrace the complexity of life, and the simplicity of it all.
I no longer have to figure it out.
Control is an illusion we tell ourselves to assume we are in charge. There is something much greater in charge, something that cannot be named, for in naming the “Cosmic” we limit ‘It’s’ expression through us.
We are simply human.
I love you with all my heart, my friend.
Kat
Dear Kat,
I agree we are "simply human"!
I never like that! Human seems to be a limiting place to be. There are times when I "forget" and am in the "now" and I am at peace and all is so very well.
My thinking so often gets in the way of my "being".
Perhaps surrender and letting go are tools we can use when we are in murky waters. I know when I am quiet I find my own still small voice. I love the still small voice.
Thank you for being part of this inner walk.
I trust you.
Sherry
