The Long Road

I took the long way around the cemetery.
The dew so heavy on the grass
I could see my footprints.
Often I stopped to watch the dew rise.
I listened to the birds.
I watched them fly from tree top to tree top.
A Blue Bird flew down onto the pavement urging me on.
He stayed just out of camera's range.
I walked faster hoping to get closer.

As I climbed the last hill Mr. Blue Bird flew to the top of the tree near my gate.
I stopped and rested for a minute too.
The sun had risen high into the sky.
I felt warm in my sweater.
I was thirsty.

I had walked for an hour.

Dear Sherry,

I had deja vu as I looked at these photos. Dew rising, Bluebirds flying, cemetery.

I had to laugh at myself, when I went back and looked in September blog. No, the photos weren't the same, just similar.

A lovely and comforting walk, as autumn days really begin to enter our hearts.

Much love,

Dear Sprite,
It was a very similiar walk! I did walk longer and faster trying to get close to Blue Bird! Watching the dew rise is one of my favorite Autumn and Spring morning activities. It is so beautiful!
Thank you for walking with me each morning.
Sending blessings,
Sherry
