Looking for pumpkins

I walked at noon.
I wanted to see if any of my neighbors
had pumpkins on their porches.

Many did have simple arrangements.

Some had yard art.

A simple pumpkin on a table
was charming.

One of my neighbors was tending her rose garden
when I came by her house.
She cut a rose for me.
I wished her a Happy New Moon.
She did not know the moon was new.

Sherry Dear,

How beautiful it is to share your neighbors decorations. What a lovely walk today!

The New Moon Rose makes my heart smile so gladly...

Love you,

Dear Sprite,
Here we are once again looking and loving!
As the seasons change I love to see how others respond. I love seeing how humans celebrate Nature. Putting a pumpkin out is simple and in a certain sort of way connects people with the olde ways.
My neighbor was sweet to give me a rose. I love it that you called the rose, "The New Moon Rose".
I will too!
Love you and treasure our walks,
Sherry

Sherry,

We have three pumpkins. The crops dried up. Pumpkins are scarce and very expensive!

I paint my pumpkins every year. It's on my list of things to do.

Dear Mary,
I had seven volunteer pumpkins grow this year. Two are in excellent condition for Jack-o-lanterns. In the past I have bought all sorts of pumpkins and have had pumpkin stacks on the porch and deck. I have never painted a pumpkin. Would be fun to do!
