The otherside

I stopped walking
and watched the Robins.
I thought of Spring.
The dandelions are setting seeds.

Mockingbird walked with me.
His mid-morning song once was part
of the spring chorus that woke me at dawn.

The trees reminded me it is Autumn.
The other side of winter.

The mornings are cool.
The afternoons are warm.

It's lovely walking through autumn. There is a sense of winding down in the air. Even though we had a bit of a warm up, it still seems to cool down in the evenings and mornings. Of course, that is the best time of day to meditate while walking.

I love what you said about Autumn being the other side of winter. So true.

Much love,

Dear Sprite,
As I walked and listened to Mockingbird and watched the Robins I was reminded of Spring. These cool mornings and evenings are so spring like.
I too feel the sense of winding down. The preparing for winter seems to be in my mind. I am not sure what I will do this winter. Hopefully I will continue to walk. Maybe I will do more writing and reading.
Love,
Sherry

Dear Iowa Gardening Woman,
The birds in the cemetery always are so cheerful. Mockingbird in the top of the tree was a bit far away for my small lens. I did love the bright blue sky behind him!
