In the woods

The wind was blowing
out of the north this morning.

A few leaves were falling.

Before long the path will be covered.

A Cardinal was in the woods.
He watched me watch him.

The Goldenrod has set seed.
I gathered some.
Soon my pockets will be full of Autumn's seed.

Oooo, a lovely and brisk walk this morning! The sky is so blue it makes my heart sing. Mr. Cardinal is beautiful in the tree, with the sky as a backdrop.

Seeds... I love seeds. Thoughts... Kindness... gentleness...

That's you.

Much love,

Dear Sprite,
I liked having Mr. Cardinal about this morning. The woods seemed so inviting. Sometimes I feel as if I am intruding but today I felt an open invitation.
Seeds! Lots of seeds! Seeds for everyone.
Thank you, Sprite. Each day I look forward to posting our walk. I know you are near.
Love,
Sherry

The Goldenrod, when set, looks like puffs of .... maybe 'dust bunnies' from someone's house cleaning. Or gray cotton... Or... :-)

Dear Mari-Nanci,
I always think it is best for me to empty my pockets outside! I end up with all sorts of natural debris.
Maybe seed heads are like Fairy dust!
