Dear Sprite, I love the wild flowers! Usually we think of them as spring but in October so many are in bloom. I did see some golenrod today that was just opening. I will plant some seed in the back for next year. My mother was always so allergic to it I never would grow it, just in case she would come over. Now I can. I do think butterflies like it. I will try and walk in the woods at least once a week so I can watch the leaves change amd fall. Thank you for walking with me. I look forward to coming home and posting! You are very kind to read and comment every day! Hugs, sherry
I had forgotten about golden rod :-). My parents always had some in their garden and I had some of it once upon a time. Tomorrow I will walk in the woods and try to catch the leaves before they all fall and the rain washes them away. Have a good weekend, Sherry.
Dear Chris, I am trying to think of native plants the butterflies will like in October and November. The zinnias and marigolds are holding up but it would be nice to have some variety. Our leaves are holding on! Lots of rain here too. I will pop over and see your walk in the woods! Sherry
