It is up to me to find the gifts.

These are not questions, to which I expect a full answer. Just sort of ... wonderings. Brought on by your entry. :-)

Which gifts, are you in hopes of finding, today?

Which gifts, do you really need to find, today?

Dear Mari-Nanci,
I never know what Nature will show!
When I have awareness I see the "gifts" the "beauty". Sometimes it is a feather or a rock. Sometimes it is the sunrise or a cloud. My hope is that I continue to sharpen my awarenss.

I think I "need" to continue to connect with all the different aspects of myself. I am learning how to care for my body. To be aware of my body and the needs of my body. Last year I began learning the inside parts; names of muscles and bones and the different systems. I really never understood how the body "worked".
Now I am learning how to maintain health and enjoy doing so! Today I learned about age spots. So very interesting. My friend doesn't think they are beautiful . We looked at some she had and some I had and we were able to see that yes, age spots are beautiful. A very cool way the body takes care of pigmentation changes.
For many years I would say, "I'm sorry" when I would get all excited about something, and start going on and on about it. I can do this with birds or bugs etc... My son gave me the gift of saying, "I'm silly" instead. So much easier on my mental and emotional self.
Thank you for your questions.
Hope you also are being aware of the beauty, the gifts, your hopes and your needs.

But why need to say either "I'm sorry" or "I'm silly" ~~~ when getting excited about something, and going on and on about it? To me, such ability to be thus, is wonderful. More people should be so lucky!

You must be a joy to know. Anyone who can see the beauty in age spots... Well you have to be a joy to know.

I'm not negating beauty in age spots. I'm sure it is a wonderful thing, which the body does, to take care of pigmentation changes. But so few people would have discovered such information and be able to discuss it.

Please tell your right-there friend that I am *jealous* of her.

Yes. Simply stated.
I love this.
I too find gifts, and it makes me wonder.
They bring joy.

Hi Mari-Nanci,
I agree. I would be just being myself as I go on and on and on...
The "I'm silly" is a stepping stone to no need to apologize at all!
I have a concern that my birds, buds and bugs talk becomes boring for others. I do tell lots of bird, buds and bugs stories.

My friends may think I am a bit odd at times. They do laugh when they are with me. I am interested in just about everything. All the processes are fascinating, seed to seed; egg to adult and birth to death.
We can friends, you and I.
I will go on city tours with you and you can watch the birds with me and we can talk about the rising and the setting of the sun!
That would be so fun.

Hi Becky,
The gifts from nature quickly become treasures for me. Often while walking we will find a small rock or feathers. I normally find many feathers being a bird person.
Being aware is the way to get to see all the gifts.
Last night my husband came in to get me. He had seen the first firefly of the season! That is a treasure.

Hello Ms q.
We do not have fire-flies here in the northwest . . . but if i could, I'd come to your garden, catch a few in a mason jar, and bring them home to my garden . . . for they are such a delight!
A delightful Light!

I enjoy your blog and will add a link from mine to yours.

Oh Sherry, I would love to be in-person friends with you. I'm sure you have so many things to share with me.

I was going to say... to teach me. But that sounds like a guru. And that's not what it would be like.

It would be like a lovely dance of going back and forth between two people and sharing and introducing each other to thoughts we've had, individually.

And Becky, you don't have fire-flies in the NW? I know they don't, in England. But I guess I thought they were all across our country.

And Sherry, the first fire-fly of the season! Oh yes, that is a treasure. We have to wait quite a while for it to be warm/humid enough, for them here.

And of course, they are really Faeries, you know. :-))))

Dear Becky,
I would love to spot fireflies with you! Since they do not live in the NW I will spot some and send their twinkling your way. Hummmm.... perhaps you will see them in the dew drops.
I am glad you are walking in beauty too. It is comforting to know we never walk alone. Thank you for connecting us!
You also might enjoy my other blog, q-corner.blogspot.com
There I post all the comings and goings around my house and gardens.
It is mostly birds and butterflies!
Sometimes I do flowers and stars and moon and such.
I am happy to get to know you.

Dear Mari-Nanci,
I too would enjoy eye-to eye, smile to smile friends with you.
As it is we can be key board to board! You already have been so kind to ignore my typos and missed words and all the add-on letters or missed letters in my words! I have a tendancy to go too fast and the internal editor is on vacation!
Friends it is!

Dear Kat,
Thank you dear heart! I do not do very well in this culture sometimes. I try.
I am a joyfilled person by nature and I find sometimes it is a bother to others.
"Easy to love," my Father told me that before he died.
Thank you for using those words.
No more "I am sorry, no more I am silly!"
I am what I am! That is all that I am...
Thank you for seeing me.
Thank you for your love.
Sherry
