A walk in the woods

My husband and I went for a walk
in the nearby woods.
We checked on the little pond.

This was the most dazzling,
landscape I had ever seen.

The air was filled with shimmering lights
as was the ground.

A few birds called out our arrival.

As we left the woods a small hawk flew in.

I'm so glad your husband walked with you. Such majestic photos you got!

We have a Nor'easter but I doubt I'll be able to get out and about, and get pics. At this point in life, a fall would very much not be good for me. :-)

Dear Mari-Nanci,
I would not have ventured into the woods unless my husband went with.
I too do not want to fall.
I did end up with a few thousand photos from the ice and snow events. Not too much damage this time around and so very beautiufl.
You stay in. Have fun and watch the snow. No falling.
Hugs,
Sherry

Nice walk, Sherry. It's a winter wonderland there... I hope you are wearing good shoes.

Dear Mary,
Winter wonderland is right!
Soon it will be gone, Missouri is like this...weather changes rather often.
I have my warm snow boots on. They are wonderful but slow walking. Lots of opportunities for photos since I stop every few steps.
I was pleased to get to the woods before the ice and snow melted.
I will back to bare trees soon.
Thanks for checking on me.
Hugs,
Sherry

Your winter pictures are wonderful. The snow is beginning to melt some here today. I'd love to venture into the woods to take pictures before it all melts away.

Dear Robin,
You received lots more snow than we did! You also had the freezing rain! I thought your ice and snow photos were very nice too. Mother Nature is awesome.
Be careful when you go out. It is slippery.
