Five Lobed Leaf

An old growth tree

with a five lobed leaf.
I thought I was standing under
an old Maple Tree.
I shall check again in the Autumn when the leaves begin to turn.
This huge tree could be an Oriental Plane.
Although I did not see any fruit clusters.
The cemetery is rather large, 125 acres.
There are many trees.
There are many paved roads to walk.

There are many sculptures to enjoy.

Is that a scupture of the little kid on the last picture, and or a real child?
I enjoy the peace in walking around cemetery also, many found that scary, I think all depends on the person and the reason.

Dear Dorthy,
Walking in the cemetery is a quiet, peaceful, meditive walk. Learning the different trees is fun too. I walk in the evenings as well with my husband. My commitment to slim and trim prompted me to walk in hte mornings as weel. To make it fun I walk with my camera.
Thank you for walking with me.

Dear Sugarsandsalts,
It is a sculpture! Very well done too.
There are all sorts of lovely garden statues in the cemetery.
No need ever to be afraid when in a cemetery. A very safe place to be I think!

Dear Laurie,
I looked in my trees of North America but was not 100% sure. I will wait for the Autumn and see if the leaves turn like a maple.
I like the having cemetery right across the street. Plenty of room for birds to nest and they can come over to my backyard for food and drink.

The sculpture of the child is remarkably lifelike. The attitude of lowering herself to the lamb's height and whispering to it is just perfect :-)

Dear Chris,
I like this Sculpture.
(I noticed when I answer comments without my glasses on I often have many typos!)
Wonderful observation! The little girl does lower herself to the lamb's height. Thank you for writing that. You are good!
Next time I visit the sculpture I will remember to listen to see if I can hear just what she is whispering.
Walking with my friends is so fun.
Thanks,
Sherry
