Simplify

I have been thinking all day
about Deb's word for this week,
simplify.

This afternoon I took a children's puzzle book and made it into a box.

I cut all the puzzles out but the last one.

It is the bottom of my box.

I glued ribbon around the paperboard inside edge.

I glued all the pages together.

I needed a box for my Archetype, Magical Earth Child's things.
I often have feathers and seed pods and other wonders from walks.
Having a place to gather things will be nice.

There is other organizing happening at my house.
I have deemed the red satin boxes are just perfect for my Chinese knot making supples.
The stork scissors are just for my knot making.
Having everything I need in one place will simplify knot making.

Knitting with homespun yarn is a simple pleasure.

Watching the evening come
is a simple activity that connects me to the moment.

Organizing is helping me simplify my life.
Learning about my Archetypes is helping me on my healing journey.
Thank you Deb for reminding me to simplify.

Archetypes

I am learning about my Archetypes.

I followed Caroline Myss instructions

and casted my wheel and my 12 Archetypes.

I am learning about the Zodia houses and the connection with my chakras.

                                                        I am understanding myself better.

I am working with my first house, Aris.
My Magical Earth Child resides here
                                                                     in the Spring.

It is my inner child that connects with the plants
and the bees and butterflies.
I am journaling.

My Angel is in my twelfth house.
Right near my child.
I have always known my Angels.

My Scholar is in my second house.

I now understand why I love to learn.
I also understand why I like books and boxes!
I understand why I study different cultures and collect different items.
I am gathering symbols of the different Archetypes

I worked a bit on my treasure map.
I added ribbon segments for each month and each Archetype.
The wheel is a perfect symbol for me.
I am still following the medicine wheel. I am working on my Sacred Contracts.

My sister sent a thank you note.
She goes back to work today.
I am sending her strength.

My Mother archetype is in my seventh house.
My Artist is in my fifth house.
I think I will go play with my Artist!

Anticipation

I am watching the tulips emerge in my indoor garden.

I am looking forward to seeing my treasure map fill in.

I am planning my tea garden

and my teas.

I am looking forward to being with Deb from Posted From Home
on Wednesdays.

She is hostessing A Word a Week Wednesday
in 2010.
This week we hold anticipation in our thoughts.
Thank you Deb for this fun meme.

Sand Garden

Each day I read a card.

Each day I am grateful.

I raked my sand garden this morning.

                                                     I worked on boundaries.

It is important for me to know when to say, "No."

I listened while I raked.

All day I listened.

I am calmed.
I am awake.
I am mindful.

I am reading and taking notes.

I am learning.

I am meeting my God.

Many have walked before me.

I never walk alone.

My friend had surgery this morning.
Her candle has burned all day.
I have sent her many blessings.
I have sent my love.

Mindfulness

I am practicing breathing in and breathing out.

Each day in this New Year, in this new month, I am using a card for inspiration.

I have it on my desk in a butterfly card holder.

I have lots of books for inspiration.

I have lots of books to teach me.

I am drying my Christmas roses. I want to make rose petal beads.
I am gathering my supplies.
I want to make prayer ropes and rosaries.

Creating scared space is part of my cleaning and organizing.
Finding ways of making each moment mindful.

I am reading and learning.

I am dreaming.

Meditation

Meditation.

Years ago I meditated at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
I called it my rest period.

When I started walking in the afternoons I walked at 2 o'clock.

Now I am walking in the evenings.

I think it is time to get back to my meditation practice.

I have lots of guides.

I have wonderful music.

I want to establish a new way for myself.

I want to have a ritual of meditation.

My sister has her rituals.
She is very established in her Faith based community.

We went to Mass together on Christmas.
I was happy to share in our childhood tradition.

This morning when my husband put on our chants for today
I realized how important nature is for my spirit.
I realized how important my childhood traditions are for me.
I shall blend them.
I shall create my own rituals.
I shall begin again my meditation practice.
