Turning of the wheel

I am turning on the
Medicine Wheel.

These last three months I have learned about my Spiritual aspect.
I have learned forgiveness.
I have walked the path of gratitude.

Today I begin learning about the emotional body.
Today I begin to honor my sad, my mad and my glad.
I will learn the lessons the emotions have come to teach.
I still will walk in gratitude and forgivness.

Dear Sherry, it is good to honour our feelings. Often our days are full of mixed emotions and it is not always easy to come to terms with them.
Like you, I try to be a good and kind person. I am learning.......

This morning when I awoke, I thought to myself "I wish there was no bad in the world at all". This is something I used to say to myself when I was a child. No bad things, no illness, no violence, no hurts.

So today, instead of feeling helpless, I decided I would start by changing myself. I cannot heal the whole world. I cannot change the whole world, but I can change me. I vow not to say anything bad to or about anybody.

I have been angry with my daughter's mother-in-law (the other grandma) for not being attentive to our grandchildren (among other things), but now realize that I just need to be gentle with her and with myself.

Anger is not a bad emotion. There are no bad emotions, but directing anger at another person is bad. So I need to change.

It is good to honour our feelings and emotions. You are learning to walk the wise path. I love your angel candle.

The winter months have an emotional effect on a lot of folks. It's been such a long one too! I'm not sad that it's finally over!

forgiveness and gratitude...such key elements to being content and finding happiness. life is a a journey of learning and listening to what is going on around us.

I feel all meditative and calm now...thank you, Sherry :)

I am a firm believer in having a positive attitude to life, and saying positive things..for it's all too easy to be negative. Being positive's so much better for one's health, too :)

My hubbie and I are at the stage in our lives where we have a trail of 'old dears' to look after...and, though they are trying at times, having a positive attitude towards their plight keeps us strong for them and gives us happy hearts at the end of the day :)
